10th Annual Container Maintenance Bocce Bash for Special Olympics

May 22, 2010

Arrival Time: 8:30 a.m.

Tournament Time: 9:00 a.m.

Thanks in part to our sponsor, The Charleston Battery, the Tenth Annual Bocce Bash will be held at the Blackbaud Soccer Stadium. The tournament is a bracket-style competition, held on 32 courts with four teams per court. The morning competition is round robin play with the highest scoring team returning after lunch for single elimination play.

Bocce players will have the opportunity to start the day with biscuits from Chick-fil-A and tasty mimosas made right in front of you. For those looking who like tasty cold ones, the beer truck will be open for players at 10:30 a.m. Bocce players will enjoy lunch provided by Sticky Fingers. Yum! BBQ sandwiches!

This year's Bocce Bash for Special Olympics is being played in honor of Salvatore James Muscarella. Not only was Sal the man who introduced Special Olympics to bocce, he has also been an avid and gracious fan of Special Olympics for over a decade. Here's to you Sal! Keep it rollin'!
